Your next Work from Home Job may be WEIRDER than you think!

Some people dream of having a data entry job from home where they just plunk-plunk-plunk whenever they feel like it. Others dream of owning a home business that’s fun and exciting and earning money all over the place. Others that have “normal” careers as paralegals, or medical billing specialists, or administrative assistants envision themselves being able to do the same “normal” job, from home.

I’ve got news for you: Your next work from home job may be weirder than you think!

Working from home is a blast. It’s all about freedom, and luxury, and having extra time to spend how you want to. It’s about playing with your kids at ten in the morning and buying stamps at the post office when nobody else is there. It’s about never having to suffer through rush hour again, and never having to spend your Saturday catching up on laundry. It’s about never missing another delivery or having another boss get in your face. It’s about working in the sunshine on your patio with a cool drink at your side.

It’s great, but it’s not “normal”.

You have a lot more freedom when you work from home. You probably work flexible hours and you decide when to work and when not to. You probably have never met your boss and you probably keep different records and prepare your taxes a little differently when you work from home. These things are all kind of weird.

You probably dress a lot differently when you work, too. Gee, there’s an idea… being comfortable while you work.

But what if your work from home job itself takes on a whole new weird kind of life? What if, instead of being that “normal” admin assistant, you now have five different part time work from home jobs that are all fun, but weird?

I got the idea for this article by stopping by my favorite work from home jobs website, http://www.moneyfromhome.net. Every time I go there I am struck by the overwhelming and awesome selection of work from home jobs. There are always jobs I’ve heard about before, but then there are lots of jobs I’ve never heard of before and could never have imagined. I’ve built a really cool, weird, work at home lifestyle with those jobs. If you felt so inclined, you probably could, too.

Maybe first thing in the morning you’ll be a virtual assistant earning about thirty bucks an hour. When that becomes too intense maybe you shift gears… take the baby to Bob’s Pizza up the street as a mystery shopper and get paid to eat a submarine sandwich. Next, maybe you’ll mystery shop at the gourmet coffee place and get a dessert. Stop by and visit mom for awhile, then check into the mall where you take a quick inventory of the designer sunglass display. You’ll fill out a report later from home and submit it online at your convenience, for which you’ll be paid $50.

Time to go home. You check the mail and there are five paychecks in there… none of them that huge, but they add up to be quite okay for having fun. (Wait, did I say work was fun? Wow, that IS weird!)

Oops, it’s almost 1:00. Time to become the work from home travel agent booking cruises and airfare. You signed up for the 1:00 to 4:00 shift. You take calls in your fuzzy slippers and earn about the same as those poor office-based travel agents, but they’re wearing uncomfortable shoes and you’re wearing fuzzy slippers. Not only that but your whole paycheck doesn’t go to day care costs because your precious angel is playing with Barbie® in the next room! Weird, yes, in a delightful kind of way!

Tomorrow you don’t have any mystery shopping gigs scheduled so you figure you’ll see if you can be a virtual juror or do some online surveys, or check on that home-based mail order business and see if you can become an online tycoon, from home, working in weird fuzzy slippers.

While your neighbors get bills in the mail, you get paychecks. Your mail man thinks you are weird.

And you say, if that’s weird, let me be weird. I just love working from home finding paychecks in my mail box.
